US Senator and former Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz was booed off stage during the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Wednesday, with attendees chanting "We want Trump" during his address. Despite congratulating Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on being announced as the party's official candidate, Trump supporters hit back when Cruz encouraged voters to support Republican candidates "you trust to be faithful to the Constitution."
Clashes erupted among protesters and police when a dozen activists attempted to burn a US flag in front of the venue hosting the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Wednesday. Protesters built a human circle, holding each other's arms while one activist set the American flag on fire in the middle of it. Several police officers made their way through the crowd and extinguished the fire.
Cleveland police say three women were arrested near the city's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame after climbing a flagpole and hanging a banner protesting Donald Trump. Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
