Blood stains and medical supplies were strewn around the train carriage where a teenage Afghan refugee, allegedly armed with an axe and knife, injured four passengers on a train close to Wurzburg in southern Germany on Monday after yelling 'Allahu Akbar' according to witnesses. Three people were severely injured in the attack and another one suffered light injuries, while 14 other people had to be treated for shock.
Rescue and police are on site after several people were wounded in a knife attack on a high-speed train in Germany's Bavaria, local police said, adding that the alleged perpetrator had been arrested. The suspect's motive for the attack on the 300-passenger train bound from Regensburg to Hamburg is not yet clear. IMAGES

Footage emerged of the aftermath of the scene of a train crash at New Jersey's Hoboken terminal, which killed at least one person and left 108 injured earlier on Thursday. The train crashed into the reception area, going through ticket barriers, until it finally came to a halt in the foyer around 8:30 am local time.
