Americans overwhelmingly say that Trump is responsible on some level for the Capitol siege. 76% said Trump bears a "great deal" or "a lot" of responsibility. Less than one-fifth said the president is blameless for the riot at the Capitol. Trump was impeached over the Capitol siege on Wednesday, says Business Insider. This is the second impeachment for Trump, making him the only President to be impeached twice.

As President Donald Trump's term comes to an end, he and his administration have blocked a peaceful transition. The world is watching and a majority of Americans disapprove of the Trump administration's transition efforts. According to Business Insider, Trump and his team have repeatedly placed hurdles in the way of the Biden administration. Recent polling shows that 54% of respondents disapproved of Trump's actions surrounding the transfer of power.
Since election day President Donald Trump's campaign has ratcheted up fundraising. The Washington Post revealed the Trump campaign has raised more than $150 million to fight election fraud. The New York Times published a similar report on Monday, but put the number at $170 million. Business Insider reports that's the amount raised since Election Day is about double the amount that one of Trump's main PACs raised during September, its best month. The Trump campaign sent hundreds of emails in November, asking supporters to donate as the president fights the results of the 2020 election.
Jill Stein was the US Green Party's 2016 candidate for president. Business Insider reports that she owes the Federal Election Commission more than $66,000 in campaign finance violations. In 2016 Stein raised $7.3 million for a recount. In December 2016, Stein promised that her donors would get to vote on how to spend these surplus funds. That never happened. Instead, Stein spent millions on election-related litigation in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. She gave raises and "performance bonuses" to her core 2016 campaign staff. She spent $113,000 on her legal defense before the US Senate's Russia investigation.
