Jakrapanth Thomma, who shot dead 20 people and injured 42 others Saturday in Nakhon Ratchasima province at Terminal 21 shopping center, was killed after a night-long police standoff, Thai Police Commissioner-General Chakthip Chaijinda said.The shooting began Saturday afternoon at an army base in the province, where Jakrapanth shot his commanding officer Col. Anantharot Krasae and other army personnel before fleeing in what local media outlets said was a stolen Humvee. The shooter then opened fire at a temple in town before arriving at the shopping center, where he continued his rampage.   • A 7-Year-Old Girl Was Out Christmas Shopping--And Was Shot To Death

    A disagreement in an Atlanta Saks Fifth Avenue parking lot led to the accidental death of a 7-year-old girl on Saturday. Newser reports Kennedy Maxie's aunt was driving near the high-end shopping mall on Monday when she heard gunfire. It was then that she realized her niece had been hit. Police don't believe their vehicle was the intended target. The aunt drove Kennedy to the hospital immediately, where she underwent surgery. Sadly, she did not survive her injuries. Our hearts are broken by the senseless murder of Kennedy. We urge the public to provide information that will lead to the arrests of the careless and heartless people responsible.     Nakon Ratchasima, Feb 13 (EFE/EPA).- Thailand held Thursday official event to conmemorate the victims of the shooting rampage at a mall in Nakhon Ratchasima province.According to media reports, 30 people, including the gunman, were killed and 58 wounded after 32-year-old Thai soldier Jakraphanth Thomma went on a shooting rampage with assault rifles on Feb 8 in the city of Nakhon Ratchasima, also known as Korat. Jakraphanth held an unknown number of people hostage inside the shopping mall for around 15 hours before being shot and killed in a police operation on Feb 9.
