The number of tourists visiting Brussels is thought to be down by around a fifth on security fears. But there's a new tourist draw for those who do visit - Molenbeek, the home of the Islamic militants involved in attacks on Paris. Kirsty Basset reports.
Brussels (Belgium), 13 Nov (EFE), (Camera: Leo Rodríguez).- On the alert against radicalization, the Belgian neighborhood of Molenbeek wants to leave behind the image of an apparent "nest of jihad" that is associated with it, all because it was the residence of the terrorists who five years ago, in 2015, led the shooting at the Bataclan concert hall and other attacks in Paris. Muslim families who feared that their children would fall into the hands of terror are also breathing a little more calmly, without forgetting that the attacks continue to cast a shadow over a neighborhood plagued by poverty and marginalization.FOOTAGE OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD.
