The world’s longest sea crossing, which connects Hong Kong, Zhuhai and Macao, has now opened to the public. The bridge spans over 55 km (34 miles) and includes 23 km of bridges, 6.7 km of tunnels, and two artificial islands. The new construction cuts the time of road travel between Hong Kong and Zhuhai from four hours to just 40 minutes. However, drivers can only access the bridge after receiving a special permit from the authorities.
The al Qarawiyyin library in Morocco, widely believed to be the oldest in the world, is undergoing restoration work before being opened to the public.

The Category 4 Hurricane made landfall on Haiti's Tiburon Peninsula early on Tuesday with wind speeds of up to 145 miles per hour. Haiti is one of the poorest nations in the Western Hemisphere and endured a devastating earthquake just 7 years ago.

Heavy snowfall caused traffic disruptions across the country, including at Prague airport, and led to power outages on Saturday.
