A makeshift migrant camp looks nearly empty in Mexico's Matamoros, at the border with Brownsville, Texas, where Democrat US President Joe Biden is expected to meet border patrol and other law enforcement agents. Also heading to the border is Republican former president Donald Trump, who will be about 300 miles (480 kilometers) to the west in Eagle Pass. The Texas showdown comes at a time when record numbers of migrant crossings into the United States are posing a threat to Biden's chances of preventing a Trump comeback in November's presidential election. Nikki Haley seeks to warn Republican voters away from rival Donald Trump after he defeated her in the New Hampshire primary, saying nominating the controversial former US president would spell victory for Joe Biden in November. "The worst kept secret in politics is how badly the Democrats want to run against Donald Trump," she tells a watch party in Concord after US networks projected she would lose the primary. "A Trump nomination is a Biden win," she says. SOUNDBITE

President Donald Trump is upset with how his legal team has handled his insistence that the 2020 presidential election be overturned. Business Insider reports a source says Trump is worried that the team is made up of 'fools' who are 'making him look bad.' Trump has also reportedly complained about Rudy Giuliani's appearance--literally--at a bizarre news conference last week. He was incensed by the vision of Giuliani's hair dye dripping down the sides of his face while speaking at the nearly 2-hour-long event. Giuliani, along with Trump's legal adviser Jenna Ellis and the now-fired lawyer Sidney Powell, defended Trump's baseless claims of voter fraud at the conference.
President Donald Trump has repeatedly complained about voter fraud, and has sworn he'll litigate over it. But according to Business Insider, in the five lawsuits he's brought over the election so far, none contain any such allegations. Four of them are about the vote-counting process. The other one wants to see votes that came late in the mail in Pennsylvania invalidated. Every election, millions of Americans vote by mail. Nonpartisan experts and multiple studies have uncovered absolutely no evidence of widespread voter fraud. In fact, Trump himself, and many of his top staff and family members, have voted by mail--or tried to--in recent years.
