Buddhist funeral rites and prayers for victims begin in Na Klang, starting three days of mourning for the victims of one of the country's worst ever mass killings. A former police officer killed 24 children -- 21 boys and three girls -- and 12 adults. Most died from a combination of knife wounds and gunshots, according to police investigators. IMAGES

In his nightly address, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky offers his condolences to the families of victims of Russian shelling in Sloviansk, which Ukrainian authorities say killed five and injured 15.
