Rio de Janeiro Civil Police chief Fernando Veloso announced during a press conference, Thursday, that claims made by four US Olympic swimmers saying they had been robbed at gun point were false, stating that they had fabricated large parts of the story.
Gunnar Bentz and Jack Conger, two Olympic swimmers from the US national team who competed at the Rio Olympics were removed by security from a flight headed back to the US on Wednesday evening and were briefly detained by authorities for questioning.
Olympic Gold Medal winner Ryan Lochte is having a very bad week after his fiasco fantasy story at the Olympics. His fix strategy also does not seem to be working with big sponsors like Speedo and Ralph Lauren who are dropping him like a stone. But we wonder that in the truth of the story when someone points a gun at you to get money isn't that still a form of robbery. I guess not in Rio and now Ryan is really paying the money.
