LAX Gunman Receives Lifetime Prison Sentence

Description

On Monday, a man who back in 2013, opened fire at Los Angeles International Airport with an assault rifle, killing a TSA agent and wounding three other people, received a sentence of life in prison plus 60 years without parole. Back in September this year, 26-year-old Paul Anthony Ciancia pleaded guilty to murder of a federal officer and 10 other criminal counts under a deal that avoided the death penalty. The shooting was the worst incident at LAX since 2002, when an Egyptian-born gunman murdered a flight attendant and a passenger aboard a pane before being shot and killed.
