Tunisia, Oct 28 (EFE), (Camera: Natalia Román Morte).- The UN Women's Representative for Libya and Tunisia Begoña Lasagabaster believes that the advancement of women's rights is "painfully slow" and that the pandemic is a good time to reflect "on all inequalities".SOUNDBITES OF BEGOÑA LASAGABASTER, UN WOMEN'S REPRESENTATIVE FOR LIBYA AND TUNISIA:“We are at a key moment in which what COVID has done is putting all the inequalities that exist in each country and in each society under a magnifying glass. And one of those that cuts everything off is gender inequality. There are many others: racial, social class, rural Vs urban…There are many, but gender is transversal to all countries and all places. What it (the pandemic) done is to turn it around and in those things where we were progressing little by little, now the situation does not allow us to (continue doing it)."
