The Nobel Prize in Literature 2016 was awarded to American songwriter Bob Dylan during ceremony in Stockholm, Thursday. As explained by Permanent Secretary of the Swedish Academy Sara Danius, Dylan was awarded the prize "for having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition
The Nobel Literature Prize goes to American poet Louise Gluck, the jury at the Swedish Academy announces. Gluck is honoured "for her unmistakable poetic voice that with austere beauty makes individual existence universal," the Academy says. SOUNDBITE
The Nobel Academy is looking for Bob Dylan to give him his cash award for winning the Nobel Prize for Literature, but the music icon is nowhere to be found. Jillian Kitchener reports.
