The bodies of six foreign aid workers killed in a Gaza strike are transported out of the war-torn Palestinian territory via Egypt as Israel faced a chorus of outrage over their deaths. Israeli bombardment killed seven staff of the US-based food charity World Central Kitchen on Monday in an attack that UN chief Antonio Guterres labelled "unconscionable" and "an inevitable result of the way the war is being conducted". The White House will demand more information from Israel after "deeply concerning" reports of bodies found strewn at Gaza's largest hospital complex as Israeli forces pulled out after an intensive military operation there. "It is deeply concerning if it's true. We are reaching out to the Israeli government to get more information," White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre tells reporters in Washington. SOUNDBITE
