This is the terrifying moment when amateur video taken by smartphone captured a part of a jet engine ripping off during a commercial flight operated by Tez Jet out of Manas International Airport from Kyrgyzstan's capital Bishkek just one hour after takeoff with 96 people on board. The shocking footage, taken by a passenger, shows the moment that one of the four engines on the British Aerospace RJ-85 was knocked loose after blowout.
Seventy one people, including three foreign nationals and six crew members, were killed when Saratov Airlines flight 6W703 crashed shortly after take-off. The plane was flying to the city of Orsk when it vanished from radar screens shortly after it took off from Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport, before crashing some 50 miles south-east of the capital. According to the Russian Transport Ministry a special committee is investigating the cause of the deadly crash.

Qatar Airways' service from Doha landed in Auckland airport on Monday, flying for a total of 16 hours and 23 minutes before landing in the capital of New Zealand. The airplane of choice was a Boeing 777, which can host up to 259 passengers on board. The plane crossed 10 time zones and covered just over 9,000 miles after departing from its home airport in the Middle East. In keeping with international tradition, fire and rescue teams showered the plane with water cannons upon arrival.
A Jet Airways plane with 161 people on board veered off the runway during take-off at Goa's Dabolim airport, Tuesday. The passengers, including 7 crew members, were evacuated using emergency slides. 15 people were treated for minor injuries incurred during the evacuation. The flight 9W 2374 had landed from Mumbai and was bound for Dubai airport when the incident occured. The cause of the incident has not yet been confirmed.
