Description

Searchers comb a forest in northern Japan for a missing boy who was left there by his parents as punishment for naughty behaviour. Yiming Woo reports.

    A four-year-old boy who had been missing for nearly five days in a forest inhabited by bears, has been found alive. The child, named Dima Peskov, was discovered in a Siberian forest near the Ural Mountains. Little Dima survived by eating grass and drinking from puddles, but the dirty water and constant bites by mosquitos and other insects had taken their toll. He was on the verge of death when he was discovered.
