Police continued to investigate in the early hours of Wednesday morning at the scene of the explosion that hit a Borussia Dortmund football team bus, injuring one player, outside the Borussia Dortmund (BVB) stadium, Signal Iduna Park. German police stated that the incident took place at 19.15 CET (17.15 GMT) on Tuesday. Borussia Dortmund were on their way to play in a Champion's League match against AS Monaco on home turf, but the match was called off after three bombs exploded adjacent to the team bus as it made its way to the stadium. Borussia Dortmund defender Marca Bartra was reported as injured in the blast and was taken to hospital to tend to injuries on his arm. Bartra suffered a broken bone in his right wrist and some shrapnel penetration into his right arm. Police have confirmed that they have discovered a letter of confession near the scene which they believe is related to the crime. The match between Borussia Dortmund and AS Monaco has been rescheduled for Wednesday.
