Mobile phone footage filmed by Emiliano Grillotti in the Italian town of Amatrice in the early hours of Wednesday morning shows the immediate aftermath of a 6.2 magnitude earthquake which has left at least 38 people dead and dozens of others buried under the rubble of collapsed houses and buildings across central Italy.
Drone footage filmed on Thursday morning shows the ruins of the earthquake-stricken city of Pescara del Tronto in the Le Marche region of central Italy. The footage shows the complete devastation of the small town, with empty shells of houses poking out from rubble littering the streets as far as the eye can see. The earthquake has decimated medieval towns, destroying centuries old buildings and churches.
Several people have been killed and hundreds more injured after a massive earthquake struck southern Taiwan, toppling at least one high-rise residential building, early Saturday morning, according to a BBC report.
