Lindsey Graham Business Insider reports Graham said he was 'embarrassed and disgusted' by Wednesday's breach, saying the 'domestic terrorists' need to be prosecuted. Thursday, he slammed Trump's legal team for pushing false claims about the election after President-elect Joe Biden was declared the winner. Nevertheless, Business Insider reports Graham said he doesn't believe invoking the 25th Amendment is 'appropriate at this point.'

An official told The Washington Post that the president has "this notion that he's been treated unfairly." People close to Trump said that they were "certain the president wanted this and is enjoying it." The violent attack forced members of Congress to hide and flee temporarily from the Capitol, while in the process of certifying Joe Biden's election victory. Trump stayed in the White House and defended his supporters, while refusing to condemn the violence. Trump's aides urged him to issue a strong statement against the rioters' violence, but he was "ignoring these entreaties." An official described Trump as "a total monster," and others were "avoiding him like the plague."
Rumors have been flying about what, if anything, President Donald Trump will do during the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden. According to Business Insider, one such story making the rounds is that Trump will visit his Turnberry golf resort in Scotland. In fact, a Scottish newspaper reported Sunday that a US military plane sometimes used by Trump is scheduled to arrive at an airport near the resort. But on Tuesday, Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon put an end to such speculation. Sturgeon said the country's national lockdown, which includes a prohibition on non-essential travel, applies to Trump as well.

According to Axios, Trump is plans to depart to Florida on Air Force One to have a rally at the same time that Joe Biden is sworn in at a socially-distanced inauguration in Washington, DC. This could break with Inauguration Day traditions on January 20, designed to showcase a peaceful transfer of power and the stability of US democracy. Last week, Biden said that he didn't care if Trump skipped out on his inauguration, hopes that he would display a peaceful transfer of power. Since losing the election, Trump has refused to concede to Biden or invite him to the White House. He believes that the election was rigged due to a conspiracy, in which he has not provided proof.
