A Syrian rescue service operating in rebel-held territory says a helicopter dropped containers of toxic gas overnight on a town close to where a Russian military helicopter was shot down hours earlier. Mana Rabiee reports.
The U.S. State Department says if reports of a toxic gas drop on a Syrian town are true, it would be "extremely serious." Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
Rescuers arrive at the scene of a helicopter crash in Russia's far east. The Mi-8 helicopter carrying tourists on a volcano sightseeing trip came down in a nature reserve on the mountainous Kamchatka peninsula. IMAGES
The pilots of a downed Russian jet were shot at by Syrian rebels as they parachuted into Syrian territory on Tuesday. One died while he was still in the air, but the other is alive after being rescued by Russian forces.
