Tear Gas Deployed in Charlotte as Hundreds Protest Keith Scott Killing

Police clashed with protesters in the center of Charlotte, North Carolina, on Wednesday, as people demonstrated against the fatal police shooting of African-American man Keith Scott. Police fired volleys of tear gas at the demonstrators and made several arrests. One unidentified person was shot during Wednesday's demonstration and is currently on life support, according to a Tweet by the city. The circumstances behind the shooting of the protester are still unclear.
