President Donald Trump has waged an all-out war against the election results. Several Republicans have waged lawsuits in multiple states seeking to overturn the election results. Sen. Mitt Romney said it would "madness" for Republicans to protest the vote certifying the election for Joe Biden. "We have a process, recounts are appropriate, going to the court is approp & pursuing every legal avenue is appropriate." "Trying to get electors not to do what the people voted to do is madness."
On Sunday, Sen. Mitt Romney slammed Pres. Donald Trump. Romney was upset that Pres. Trump shifted the blame for the SolarWinds hack from Russia to China. Trump said "it may be China" that's responsible for the massive attack on US companies and government agencies, without citing evidence. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Friday that Russia was to blame. Romney told NBC News Sunday he was "disappointed" with Trump's remark. "I think we've come to recognize that the president has a blind spot when it comes to Russia," he said.

Romney said there were many things Trump could be doing, like heralding the success of the COVID vaccine. Romney is dismayed that Trump has chosen to focus on overturning the election. "It's really sad and in a lot of respects embarrassing," he said. Romney said Trump is leaving Washington "with a whole series of conspiracy theories." "Things that are so nutty and loopy that people are shaking their heads, wondering what in the world has gotten into this man."
Barbara Res is a real estate executive who once worked for now-President Donald Trump, overseeing construction and development for the Trump Organization. Res says Trump refused to listen to expert advice, hired unqualified people based on their loyalty to him, disrespected his employees, and used racist language. According to Business Insider, Res says Trump once complained to her about seeing a Black construction laborer working on one of his Trump Tower buildings. Res says Trump told her, 'I don't want people thinking Trump Towers are being built by Black people.' She added that Trump also said he didn't want Black people lounging in his building lobbies, because 'millionaires are coming into my apartments.'
