This super rare Caracal cat named Demi Moore is only one of about 30 cats of her breed in the world. Of course, as one of the rarest cats, she is also one of the world's most expensive. Demi's owner Anastasia paid out around 1.5 million roubles for the feisty feline, which is about $23,400. The breed was created by crossing a wild Caracal and an Abyssinian cat and this domestic kitty certainly shows off her wild side now and again. When fully grown, a Caracal cat can grow up to 20 inches height and weigh up to 33 pounds. At the moment, all of the Caracal cats live in Russia.
Scientists have discovered a planet orbiting the star closest to our own sun. If that’s not remarkable enough, the planet lies in the star’s so-called Goldilocks zone, meaning it’s possible the planet’s surface supports liquid water, and perhaps even life.
Researchers from European Southern Observatory announced their discoveries about a planet close to our solar system which may be similar to Earth in its conditions, with scientists holding a press conference at ESO headquarters in Garching near Munich, Wednesday. Reportedly, the star is the closest body in the space to Earth that might contain life forms. Dr. Ansgar Reiners stated that "the [turning] period is 11.2 days and the minimum mass of the planet is 1.3 Earth masses."
