A woman who was present with her daughter at the Ariana Grande concert at the Manchester Arena recounted the suicide bombing attack, which occurred on Monday night, May 22, as attendees were leaving the concert. 22 people were killed and scores injured as a result. Police have named 22-year-old Salman Abedi as the main suspect, who police believe was killed in the blast, and have arrested another man in connection with the crime.
Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham spoke about the deadly attack at Manchester Arena from outside Greater Manchester Police Headquarters. The Manchester Arena explosion shook the UK after 22 were killed and scores injured when a bomb exploded at the end of a pop concert by US singer Ariana Grande as attendees were leaving the premises at around 22:35 local time. Police believe that the lone assailant died at the scene after detonating an explosive device on his person.
