Four Injured, Including Attacker in NYC Subway Bombing

On Monday morning, a Bangladesh native set off a homemade pipe bomb strapped to his body in a crowded New York City subway, injuring four people including himself. According to officials, the suspect, 27-year-old Akayed Ullah was taken to a hospital after suffering burns from the explosive device which did not fully ignite. The blast occurred around 7 AM in a subway station between the Port Authority Bus Terminal and Times Square. When asked whether Ullah has claimed any connection to ISIS, New York Police Commissioner James O‘Neill said Monday, “He did make statements but we’re not going to talk about that right now.”
