  • Over half a million Moroccan students learn Tamazight

    Khemisset (Morocco), Feb 10 (EFE), (Camera: Mohamed Siali).- More than half a million Moroccan children in primary school are curently learning Tamazight (Berber language), which is an official language in the country along with Arabic since 2011 and also a hallmark for many citizens. The Government has highlighted the progress made in teaching Amazigh, although it recognizes deficiencies, especially in the availability of teachers, while activists complain about the slowness of the project and the inadequacy of the efforts invested so far.   • 'Saved by the Bell' Star Dustin Diamond Hospitalized

    Actor and stand-up comedian Dustin Diamond has been hospitalized with cancer. Diamond is best known for playing the role of Samuel 'Screech' Powers on the popular 1990s high school comedy 'Saved by the Bell.' Besides writing a controversial tell-all about his time on the show, Diamond has also faced some legal troubles. According to CNN, he served three months in jail for stabbing a man during a 2014 altercation at a bar in Wisconsin. Diamond's representative says his client's health condition is 'serious,' and that he is undergoing testing to determine the type and severity of the cancer.

  • Joanne Rogers, Widow Of TV's Mister Rogers, Dies At 92

    Joanne Rogers passed away Thursday in Pittsburgh. She was an accomplished concert pianist and wife of beloved children's television host, Mr. Rogers. Joanne and Fred Rogers were married for more than 50 years. Born Sara Joanne Byrd in 1928, Joanne Rogers met her future husband at Rollins College in Florida. She is survived by two sons, James Byrd Rogers and John Rogers. HuffPost reports that no cause of death has been given. She was 92 years old.

  • The People Least Likely To Embrace Telemedicine

    The novel coronavirus pandemic has triggered a boom in telemedicine, by which patients receive medical care via telephone or computer. However, UPI reports a new study reveals the new paradigm isn't being adopted by everyone equally. UPI reports three groups of people have been far less likely to complete telemedicine appointments during the pandemic than others. Specifically, they're older adults, Asian Americans, and non-English speakers. Study co-author Dr. Srinath Adusumalli says many of these patients lack access to the necessary technology. Or, they are simply uncomfortable using it to complete medical appointments.
