The 88th running of the Geneva International Motor Show gets underway on March 6 and organizers have confirmed a total 110 world or European premieres. More than 180 exhibitors will be present at the show, including all your favorite performance and luxury marques plus a number of newcomers. Volvo’s new electric performance line, Polestar, showed up, Polestar 1, is a 2-door coupe that looks like a Volvo S90. It is made from carbon fibre, and based on Volvo's SPA platform. The Polestar 1, while not a pure electric vehicle, is an electric performance hybrid GT capable of producing 600 horsepower. Former Volkswagen Group Chairman Ferdinand Piech's son, Toni, plans to launch an electric luxury-car brand that uses a new fast-charging battery technology. Piech's company, Piech Automotive, unveiled the Mark Zero coupe concept at the auto show here.
