Nissan Season 5 in Formula E - Day Preview

Nissan has taken the next steps toward its debut in the all-electric ABB FIA Formula E Championship by revealing its concept livery at the Geneva Motor Show. At last year’s Tokyo Motor Show, Nissan – the world's leading mass-market zero-emission vehicle manufacturer – announced it would debut in Formula E from season five which is expected to begin in December 2018. As part of today's announcement, Nissan unveiled its color scheme for the season five Formula E car, which features striking new aerodynamics and an entirely new battery and powertrain package. The livery for Nissan's Formula E program was designed by Nissan's Global Design team in Japan.

  • Nissan Formula E Season Five Wrap

    Nissan will be the first Japanese automaker to debut in the electric Formula E Championship at the start of season five in late 2018. Nissan revealed its Formula E livery at this year’s Geneva Motor Show in March. Further information on the driver lineup and team details will be available later this year. Starting from season five, teams will compete with a new chassis/battery combination and new powertrains to eliminate the mid-race car swap that was previously a part of Formula E races.

  • Charles Leclerc green lights Scuderia Ferrari’s 2021 season, Test Day 2

    At 9.30 on the dot this morning, Charles Leclerc drove out of the pits at Fiorano for an installation lap in the 2018 SF71H, thus getting Scuderia Ferrari’s 2021 season properly underway.The Monegasque was back at the wheel 44 days on from the final Grand Prix of 2020, held on 13 December in Abu Dhabi. Today, he was able to get down to work again with the team, reacquainting himself with procedures and driving a Formula 1 car for over 100 laps. On Charles’ programme were practice starts and work aimed at the new championship and pre-season testing which takes place in mid-March.

    Nissan e.dams drivers Sebastien Buemi and Oliver Rowland will return for the next season of the Formula E electric street racing series after a record-setting debut run.The duo will continue to demonstrate the power and performance of Nissan's zero-emission electric vehicle technology during season six of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship. The season kicks off with a double-header in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Nov. 22-23. It will continue through cities including Santiago, Chile; Mexico City; Hong Kong; Rome; Paris; Seoul; Berlin and New York before concluding with another double-header in London on July 25-26 next year.Buemi and Rowland set a series qualifying record with six pole positions in 13 races during season five, as Nissan joined the championship to showcase its Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies. Buemi went on a late-season charge with four consecutive podiums and placed second in the driver's championship. Rowland scored more points than any other rookie.
