At the 88th Geneva Motor Show, Mercedes-Benz is presenting a slew of world premieres in a clear demonstration that the brand with the three-pointed star offers vehicles to suit all needs. First to be unveiled was the all-new Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé (fuel consumption combined: 11.2-9.1 l/100 km; CO2 emissions combined: 256-209 g/km[1]), which augments the successful AMG GT family with another member. Also celebrating its world premiere was the new Mercedes-AMG G 63 (fuel consumption combined: 13.1 l/100 km; CO2 emissions combined: 299 g/km), the new generation of the off-road legend by Mercedes-AMG. Further highlights in Geneva include the extensively redesigned C-Class. The bestseller with the three-pointed star appears with new, even more efficient engines. Also on show for the first time is a pre-production version of the first plug-in diesel hybrid, which is set to feature in both the C-Class and the E-Class. The new Mercedes-AMG C 43 (fuel consumption combined: 9.4-9.1 l/100 km; CO2emissions combined: 214-209 g/km1) guarantees compelling performance. Plus, the presentation of smart EQ fortwo (combined power consumption: 13.0-12,9 kWh/100 km; combined CO2emissions: 0 g/km) and the smart EQ forfour (combined power consumption: 13.2-13.1 kWh/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 0 g/km) sees the inventor of the automobile take the next step towards the electrification of its entire model line-up by 2022.
Now in its fifth year of production, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class is the most successful model series from Mercedes-Benz and boasts a wealth of enhancements. The design of the exterior and interior benefits from a stylish makeover. The electronic architecture is completely new. Options include a fully digital instrument display and multimedia systems featuring customised information and music offerings. The assistance systems likewise benefit from the new electronic architecture and are now on a par with those of the S-Class. The Mercedes-Benz C-Class in its current generation was Mercedes-Benz's top-selling model in its fourth year on sale. The brand sold a combined total of over 415,000 Saloon and Estate models worldwide in 2017. The new-look C-Class combines emotionality with intelligence. The vehicle's new appearance is defined in particular by its front end and the design of the headlamps and tail lights. On the new version, the AMG Line features the diamond radiator grille as standard. The front bumpers have been redesigned for all lines. They feature either a silver trim strip (standard), a chrome-plated trim strip (in combination with AVANTGARDE exterior) or a three-part chrome trim strip (EXCLUSIVE exterior).
The smart vision EQ fortwo provides a new vision of urban mobility and individualised, highly flexible, totally efficient local public transport: the autonomous concept vehicle picks up its passengers directly from their chosen location. New individualisation options help users to recognise that it is ""their"" vehicle: by means of the Black Panel Grille at the front as well as large projection surfaces at the sides, the smart vision EQ fortwo allows unprecedented individualisation of the vehicle, ideal for car sharing. Freed from the task of driving, the passengers are able to relax in the large interior. The show car is the first vehicle from the Daimler Group to take the logical step of dispensing with a steering wheel and pedals. The smart vision EQ fortwo is also a car in which all of the individual fields of expertise that make up the CASE corporate strategy are combined, allowing users in the city intuitive access to individual mobility. CASE stands for the strategic pillars of connectivity (Connected), autonomous driving (Autonomous), flexible use (Shared & Services) and electric drive systems (Electric).

Mercedes-Benz unveiled the Vision EQ Silver Arrow show car during Paris Auto Show 2018. The event attracted car aficionados and collectors from all over the world. The one-seater vehicle is also an homage to the successful record-breaking W 125 car from 1937. The paintwork in alubeam silver is reminiscent of the historic Silver Arrows which, for weight reasons, did not have a white paint layer. The interior is dominated by traditional, high-quality materials such as genuine leather, polished aluminium and solid walnut. The digital cockpit, meanwhile, points directly into the future: it includes a curved panoramic screen with back projection, as well as a touchscreen integrated into the steering wheel.
