GOP Bringing Back Anti-LGBT ‘FADA’ Bill

Description

GOP Senator Mike Lee of Utah and other Republicans are bringing back the First Amendment Defense Act, commonly known as FADA. In the past, the bill has been called “harmful,” “discriminatory” and the “vilest anti-LGBT religious freedom bill of our time" by gay rights advocates. In a statement, Lee said the legislation is “designed to prevent the federal government from discriminating against individuals or institutions based on their beliefs about marriage.
