Blue Apron Shares Drop To A New Low

Shares of Blue Apron dipped to an all-time low. The meal-kit subscription dropped to $1.81 per share on Tuesday. The company has faced increasing pressures from competition, like HelloFresh. big companies like Walmart and Amazon entering its space. In March, Walmart announced it was launching its own line of meal kits. The company has struggled to attract new customers and retain old ones since going public last June.

Its largest competitor, Hello Fresh, who went public last week in Germany, also reported revenue growth in its most recent quarter, and a net loss smaller than Blue Apron's this week.

    Shares of meal-kit delivery service Blue Apron sank after Morgan Stanley slashed its price target to $6 from $21. The downgrade came after a recent 1-for-15 reverse stock split did little to boost Blue Apron shares, now trading at an all-time low of $6.58. The company has struggled since its IPO in mid-2017. Shares of Blue Apron tumbled as much as than 4% to an all-time low of $6.46 on Tuesday after Morgan Stanley lowered its price target on the stock to $6 from $21 — a more than 70% cut.

The pilot program would only be in New York City, for now. The On-Demand delivery will be on the Grubhub and Seamless online and mobile platforms. Blue Apron shares are down 85% since their June 2017 initial public offering.
