ISIS And Taliban Claim Responsibility For Deadly Series Of Attacks In Kabul

Description

On Monday, five militants targeted a military base in Kabul, killing eleven and ending a week of violence that has already rattled a country devastated by years of conflict. Over the past nine days, over 130 people have been killed in four attacks, starting with a deadly hotel siege in Kabul which killed at least 22 people. The Taliban have claimed two of the attacks while ISIS says it is behind the others, including Monday's military base assault, raising the possibility of a deadly competition emerging between the two terrorist groups.
