However, where the founder of this segment actually shows its true strengths is in combining its individual attributes into an overall system solution. Together with the likewise new telematics generation, which celebrates its parallel premiere in the A-Class, the new connectivity solutions of Mercedes PRO connect provide the perfect basis for all conceivable logistical and transport requirements, from the complex management of a large fleet to a small company fleet. The Sprinter not only demonstrates its outstanding adaptability in terms of connectivity and the services based on it, but can also be perfectly tailored to the relevant sector and customer requirements. This also includes an attractive price level from 19 990 euros in Germany (price excludes VAT) for the entry-level version with front-wheel drive. The new Sprinter can be ordered now, and from June it will be available from Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle centres in Europe.
Legends are made by performance. Since its market launch in 1995, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter has given its name to an entire vehicle class thanks to its outstanding qualities. Today the third generation of this best-selling van is celebrating its world premiere in the newly constructed Mercedes-Benz logistics centre on the Mercator island in Duisburg. It can now be ordered in Germany at a price from 19,990 euros (price excluding VAT). It will be available in the Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle centres and Van ProCenters from June. The new eSprinter will enter the market in 2019. It is part of the strategy of Mercedes-Benz Vans for electrification of the commercial van fleet. Panel van, Tourer, pickup, chassis, bus or traction head as body types, three drive configurations, cab designs, body lengths, tonnages, load compartment heights and equipment features: these parameters alone allow a further increase in the number of possible Sprinter variants. More than 1,700 different versions can be configured as a result. This maximised modularity defines the core of the new Sprinter concept, reflecting both sector-specific requirements and different customer segments. The product range includes e.g. solutions for courier services on the last mile delivery, for goods transport over longer distances or for service technicians using their vehicle as a mobile replacement parts store. The new Sprinter can also be put to work as a camper van or bus, and for example is used as an ambulance by rescue services.

In doing so, the company is consolidating a decisive competitive advantage: the customised diversity of its portfolio for commercial and private use – offering a range of fully electric and conventionally powered vehicles in the small, midsize, and large van segments. The introduction of the modular and scalable Van Electric Architecture (VAN.EA) from 2026 marks the gradual transition to a focused premium strategy for commercial vans. The new Vito, eVito, Sprinter and eSprinter light commercial vehicles are a key step on this journey. They offer more comfort, safety, and functionality, especially thanks to a plus in intelligent, digital networking. This sets the course for further growth at the upper end of their respective segments.
The Mercedes‑Benz Sprinter City 75 is the pride of the Mercedes‑Benz minibuses for regular-service bus routes. This is illustrated not only by the asymmetrical body design and the distinctive wheelbase, but also by the paint finish of the test vehicle, including its attachments, in "Argentum Metallic".Passengers enter the passenger compartment through a double-wing, electrically operated outward swivelling door behind the front axle. Like the single-wing rear door, it is powered by the twelve-volt technology of the Sprinter. The passenger compartment has a low-entry design. The "Waves Nazare" designer floor covering of the test vehicle has a friendly look and is simultaneously also easy to clean. Two very shallow steps in front of the rear axle lead to the seating area in the rear.
