Disgusting Sewer Phenomenon Called 'Fatberg' Goes On Display at Museum of London

Description

This is the last remaining chunk of Fatberg, a congealed mass of sewer waste, sanitary wipes, condoms, grease, diapers, and fat discovered in the sewers of Whitechapel last October. An enormous chunk of fatberg was found clogging London's pipes last fall and made headlines in national press. Weighing over 130 tons, or the equivalent of 11 double decker buses, and stretching for more than 820 feet, the calcified, solid mass was cleared from the sewers by Thames Water, but it has quite a story to tell. It went on display at the Museum of London on Thursday.
