Zena Cardman, astronaute actuellement en mission à bord de l’ISS, a partagé cette vidéo sur X le 17 novembre. Elle confie n’avoir jamais vu d’aurores depuis la Terre, alors qu’en orbite, le spectacle est fréquent Sur ce cliché, on distingue Houston, la Floride et les aurores boréales dans un même cadre, juste avant que l’équipage ne survole le golfe et une série d’orages spectaculaires illuminant l’Amérique du Sud au lever du soleil. De spectaculaires aurores boréales ont été observées dans la nuit du mardi 11 au mercredi 12 novembre 2025. Le phénomène lumineux, visible jusqu’en France, a été immortalisé à de nombreuses reprises.
