Business Insider reports that President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump will change their annual New Year's Eve plans. They decided to leave Trump's Mar-a-Lago club before its lavish New Year's Eve party, an event that the Trump family attends annually. CNN reported that 500 people had already reserved tickets to the event, which have cost $1000 in the past. Guests had reportedly already started gathering at the resort and were told that Trump would attend. Instead Trump and Melania will spend New Year's Eve at the White House. The White House did not confirm the reason for their change in plans.
US President Donald Trump has been furiously and hysterically tweeting about various states' ballot-counting processes. He's argued that votes still being counted in vital battleground states such as Michigan and Pennsylvania should be dismissed. However, HuffPost reports he's been dished out the same condescending advice from the same young environmentalist he gave it to. Greta Thunberg tweeted that Trump should 'chill,' 'work on his Anger Management problem' and watch a 'good old fashioned movie with a friend. Trump originally used the 'anger management' line against Thunberg in December 2019 after the teen was named Time’s Person of the Year.

During their trip, they met with the Queen, British Prime Minister Theresa May and Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar. The president and first lady also attended World War II commemoration services at the US Cemetery in Normandy and Trump met with French President Emmanuel Macron on the sidelines. IMAGES

The Bidens moved quickly on Wednesday to fire White House chief usher Timothy Harleth. Harleth was installed by the Trumps, according to CNN. Harleth took the place of Angella Reid, who was hired during the Obama administration. The usher is responsible for the management of the building and oversees residence staff. Stephen Rochon was the chief usher from 2007 to 2011 and was by Trump to run the house. Rochon declined due to family reasons.
Former President Donald Trump granted extended Secret Service protections to his four adult children. This is also extended to their spouses, according to Business Insider. He made this move before he left the White House in a last effort of wielding power. This expensive, full-time security detail is an unexpected move for most. The extended security detail could cost taxpayers millions of dollars. Given the amount of traveling that the Trump children do, the cost could be astronomical.
