Apple Stocks Slide With New Education iPad

Description

Shares of Apple fell more than 3% in trading Tuesday. This despite the company announcing a slew of new products geared towards education. The tech giant unveiled a new, smaller iPad that is aimed at teachers and students. The new device will support Apple Pencil and have upgraded Apple software like Pages and Keynote. It costs $329 for consumers and $299 for schools, much less than the current iPad lineup. It'll begin shipping this week. As the company showed off the new devices to journalists, the event featured hoards of matching Apple employees, dressed like students and lined up in the hallways.

A federal judge has ruled 114,000 homeless students in New York City are to have their day in court. Business Insider reports a judge has allowed a class-action lawsuit to advance to expedite the roll-out of WiFi to homeless shelters across the city.
