EU must 'overcome polarisation' on farming by dialogue: von der Leyen

The EU needs to overcome "polarisation" in its agri-food sector through dialogue, European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen urges, as farmers in several countries protested rising costs. "We all have the same sense of urgency that things have to improve," von der Leyen said as she opened a strategic dialogue on how to balance farmers' complaints with Europe's green transition.
