European foreign policy chief Josep Borrell gives a press conference in Capri, Italy, ahead of the Foreign Affairs Ministers' Meeting in which he says that the Western countries "have to take quicker decisions in order to support Ukraine more because we cannot afford Putin's victory in Ukraine." NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg says Ukraine "simply cannot wait" for more air defences as Kyiv pleads with Western allies to step up deliveries to stave off Russia's attacks. Speaking in Brussels, during a press conference alongside Finland's President Alexander Stubb, Stoltenberg says "delays in funding are having direct consequences on the ground every day." SOUNDBITE
NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg says a delay in passing new US aid for Ukraine was already hurting Kyiv's forces on the battlefield against Russia. "We see the impact already of the fact that the US has not been able to make a decision, but I expect the US to be able to make a decision, that the Congress and the House of Representatives will agree continued support to Ukraine," Stoltenberg tells journalists at a meeting of the alliance's defence ministers in Brussels.
