At the 2023 edition of Goodwood Festival of Speed, the annual celebration of motorsport and car culture, Maserati proudly shows two cars making their world debuts, the Ghibli 334 Ultima and Levante V8 Ultima.This year sees the House of Trident pay homage to the final chapter of its iconic lineage of V8 engine-powered grand tourers, which have sold over 100,000 units since the launch of the Maserati 5000 GT in 1959.To mark the upcoming end of production of the legendary 572-hp twin-turbo V8 engine, with the models themselves due to become collector’s items in the months ahead, Goodwood’s hallowed grounds will host the global debut of two special editions. The Ghibli 334 Ultima (the number denoting its top speed in kilometres per hour – thereby making it the current fastest internal combustion engine saloon in the world), and the Levante V8 Ultima. Together, they promise to captivate festival-goers in the First Glance Paddock, with the former also in action during the hillclimb.Also taking part in the Goodwood hillclimb, the GranTurismo Trofeo, equipped with the roaring 542-hp V6 Nettuno engine. Its soul is the innovative pre-chamber combustion system, featuring twin spark plugs and derived from Formula 1.Meanwhile, the Maserati area will be hosting the Maserati GranTurismo One Off Prisma, a proud expression of this car’s past and of the brand's ability to go further. Joining it will be a GranTurismo Folgore, so showgoers can fully appreciate everything about the Italian luxury marque’s first all-electric car, up close and personal.
Maserati writes a new chapter in its history by expanding its Trofeo collection. Following the 2018 launch of Levante Trofeo, the SUV’s most extreme, most powerful version, the new Quattroporte and Ghibli Trofeo are now available, achieving the pinnacle of performance, sportiness and luxury.To highlight once again Maserati’s all-Italian identity, the colours chosen for the Trofeo collection launch are those of the country’s flag: green for Quattroporte, white for Levante and red for Ghibli, which combine with the burnished chrome-work and glossy red trims for a particularly aggressive and elegant look.Maserati reinterprets its sedans by introducing the V8 engine.The heart of Ghibli and Quattroporte Trofeo is the 3.8 l V8 Twin Turbo with power output of 580 hp at 6,250 rpm and peak torque of 730 Nm.The engine, which has already revealed all its power on Levante Trofeo, is built at the Ferrari plant at Maranello to Maserati’s specifications, and has been modified and developed to deliver equally impressive performances on the rear-engine sedans.
"Maintaining the V90° architecture, the 3.8-litre eight-cylinder Twin Turbo engine of the Levante GTS has been re-engineered to work with the Q4 Intelligent All-Wheel Drive System and retuned to deliver 550 hp at 6,250 rpm and 730 Nm peak torque between 2,500 and 5,000 rpm. The Levante GTS surges from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds and has a top speed of over 292 km/h. The Levante Trofeo is “the Maserati of SUVs” as it is driven by one of the most powerful engines ever installed in a Maserati: the 3,799 cc V8 Twin Turbo with Q4 Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system delivers a massive 590 hp at 6,250 rpm, with a peak torque of 730 Nm at 2,250 rpm. The Levante Trofeo surges from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of over 300 km/h. Like all Maserati petrol engines, this V8 is produced by Ferrari in Maranello. In terms of irresistible looks, the Levante’s unmistakable design reaches new levels of sportiness in the Trofeo version and the GTS has adopted the same line, noticeable above all in the restyled lower front fascia and rear bumper, providing a sportier yet sophisticated presence. Interior designers have come up with elegant ideas to create a distinctive environment within the Levante GTS cabin, providing it with standard Full Premium leather or full-grain Pieno Fiore natural leather as an option, sport pedals and Harman Kardon Audio system with 14 speakers."

Black is synonymous with elegance, but also with extreme sportiness, so it perfectly captures the dual personality inherent in the Maserati DNA. From this concept, Nerissimo was born − a special edition of Maserati cars that emphasises their assertive sporting prowess and high-performance capabilities. Designed for the Ghibli, Quattroporte and Levante − and available in GranSport trims − the Nerissimo Edition envelops each car in black. The exteriors of the three cars stand out thanks to seductive, deep black body paint. This is combined with a contrasting Black Chrome trim on the upper part of the grille frame and the Trident, the side air vents, the boot, and the iconic Maserati badging on the C-pillars and at the rear. The grille bars, door handles, exhaust tips and window trim, meanwhile, are in an exclusive black finish.
