The new fully electric premium MPV, the Volvo EM90, is not just designed to be a comfortable living room on the move, and a car that provides you with room for life with your loved ones. It is also a car that broadens the appeal of Volvo Cars and meets even more customer needs. The EM90 demonstrates our strong abilities to innovate and meet specific market demands. The multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) segment has gained considerable popularity in recent years, especially in many parts of Asia. This is one of the main reasons why the EM90 is coming first to China, the world’s largest car market. Following the reveal of the already award-winning and fully electric EX30 small SUV earlier this year, the EM90 represents the second expansion of our model portfolio in quick succession. Both the EX30 and EM90 will help us to reach new audiences, cover more of the global automotive market and realise more profitable volume. The EM90 also reinforces our commitment to be a fully electric car maker by 2030. In coming years we’ll roll out a whole family of new, fully electric Volvo cars, delivering on everything our customers expect from a Volvo with zero tailpipe emissions. Euro NCAP announced the winners from 2022, the safety organisation’s busiest-ever year. These are the cars that achieved the highest overall scores, based on their results for Adult Occupant Protection, Child Occupant Protection, Vulnerable User Protection and Safety Assist technologies. For the very first time, this list includes two cars from Tesla and two Chinese newcomers to the European market. These results underline the importance of the Euro NCAP five-star rating for establishing safety, credibility, and quality in the European market for vehicle manufacturers in Europe, but also beyond Europe’s borders.
A Porsche with a claim to leadership: When the Taycan with its striking design leaves the pit lane and onto the track in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, it is soon at the front of the field. The first all-electric sports car from Porsche this season is the new Safety Car of the innovative electric racing series. It celebrates its premiere on the racetrack at the start of the Formula E season on April 28/29. January in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.The Porsche Taycan Turbo S is intended to be more than just the safety vehicle for the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. Its eye-catching livery, which features the colors of all eleven teams as well as the FIA and Formula E, symbolizes the commitment of everyone involved to Formula E and the common path to the all-electric future of motorsport. At the same time, it visualizes social values such as diversity and community. The number 22 recognizes the performance of the 22 drivers competing this season.
