The Philippines' Mount Mayon spews lava from its crater down its slopes as one of the country's most active volcanoes continues to rumble. Mayon, about 330 kilometres (205 miles) southeast of the capital Manila, is considered one of the most volatile of the country's 24 active volcanoes. IMAGES
Footage released on the 17th of March show flaming lava pouring out of the crater of Indonesia's Mount Merapi, one of the world's most active volcanoes, which erupted late Friday and continues to spew hot ash and other volcanic material. Merapi also erupted last week, sending volcanic material 9,600 feet (3,000 metres) above the summit. IMAGES

Santa Cruz de La Palma, Spain, Oct 5 (EFE).- Some 250,000 tons of sulfur dioxide (SO2) have been expelled into the air since the Cumbre Vieja volcano on the Spanish island of La Palma started erupting on September 19, the Volcanological Institute of the Canary Islands (Involcan) reported.The volume of gas is possibly higher due to the limitations of the equipment being used to measure emissions, Involcan added.FOTAGE OF THE VOLCANO.
