Nissan’s innovative e-POWER family has expanded, with the new Qashqai Ti e-POWER arriving in Australia to offer customers an exciting option in the city-friendly SUV space.Featuring Nissan’s pioneering powertrain, e-POWER combines an advanced petrol engine with an electric motor and 2.1kWh battery to deliver smooth driving power and impressive fuel efficiency+.The Qashqai e-POWER is available on the flagship Ti trim level. The model also benefits from the range-wide improvements made to the recently updated Qashqai that has already launched in Australia, including CMF-C platform, practicality increases, tech updates and its high-tech safety systems.The Qashqai’s Ti e-POWER system comprises a high-output battery complemented by a variable compression ratio 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, a power generator, inverter and an electric motor.The petrol engine generates the electricity, which can be transmitted via the inverter to the battery pack, the electric motor, or both, according to the driving scenario. Nissan’s e-POWER also delivers fuel use of just 5.2L/100km+ on the combined cycle.
For its mid-lifecycle refresh, Nissan is reintroducing a yellow exterior colour option on its Juke urban crossover in response to customer demand, following its popularity on the first generation Juke.As well as the introduction of the new yellow, Nissan's designers and engineers have made significant changes to the Juke's interior to elevate the ambience of life-on-board, with a redesigned centre console and instrument panel. The interior also benefits from new materials, trim and upgraded fit and finish. And the car's connectivity has been updated with a larger touchscreen and additional features.And the mid-life upgrades also sees the introduction of an additional grade called N-Sport, which emphasises the Juke's dynamic qualities both on exterior and interior details.The re-introduction of a yellow exterior paint option in the Juke range is a direct consequence of customers who had loved the yellow when it was introduced on the first generation Juke asking for it. The new yellow is different in hue to the shade on the previous generation of Juke. Compared to the one offered on the previous Juke, the new one is slightly paler, giving a more modern and impactful look.When specified in the new N-Sport trim, the new yellow's impact is heightened by the contrast of the yellow with the black roof, wheels door mirrors, wheel arch inserts, grille and A- and B-pillars. The overall effect elevates the Juke's natural visual impact, with an added splash of swagger and attitude.
The all-new Interstar-e, Nissan's first fully electric large van, will deliver a more sustainable ride without compromising on performance - with an 87kWh battery providing a top range of over 460 kilometres and allowing users to reach client after client without ever having to worry about the autonomy. Nissan's D/C Charging offers rapid capabilities, recharging up to 252 km in just 30 minutes, and a shorter mission version with a 40kWh battery for approximately 200km. Nissan is bringing the all-wheel drive strengths of its unique e-4ORCE technology to European ski slopes this winter, with the creation of an X-Trail e-4ORCE extensively modified for mountain rescue needs.The modifications to the X-Trail Mountain Rescue include the replacement of the wheels with snow tracks, giving confident traction on slippery pistes, while the rear seats have been removed to allow the installation of a stretcher, to allow the transportation of injured skiers to the nearest medical facility, and a seat for a medical professional.Externally, a bespoke roof rack has been added to carry an evacuation stretcher and snow shovels. A siren, flashing light bar and powerful lights have also been embedded to the X-Trail's roof, as well as lights on the hood. Wider fenders front and rear have been integrated to accommodate the tracks, while at the front the bumper has been enhanced to carry a winch. A reinforced towing hook has been added to the front and rear bumpers, while footboards have been included on the side to facilitate access as the X-Trail rides 23cm higher on its track than the road-going version.The development and construction of the X-Trail Mountain Rescue was conceived to highlight the advanced electrified twin-motor e-4ORCE all-wheel drive system with which the X-Trail is equipped. What sets the system apart from traditional mechanical systems is that it can react to changing levels of grip in 1/10,000th of a second, approximately 1000 times quicker than a traditional all-wheel drive system, and it can adjust the distribution of power to the wheels individually, according to the available grip. The occupants will be blissfully unaware that the e-4ORCE system is working so effectively to provide traction in all conditions, allowing peace of mind as they travel on wet urban, leafy suburban, muddy country or snowy mountain roads.The X-Trail Mountain Rescue is supporting a campaign in five European ski resorts under the banner of ""Ride Responsibly"". Nissan will promote courteous slope etiquette with the placement of digital signs which encourage snow riders to slow down where different slopes meet to reduce the risk of collision. Similar to road-side signs that display a vehicle's speed, the signs will monitor the speed of approaching riders and show ""Thank You"" for those who are approaching at a considerate speed, or ""Slow Down"" if their speed is judged as excessive. The X-Trail Mountain Rescue will be displayed in a glass box at the popular Italian ski resort of Cervinia.
