The premium car manufacturer BMW is driving forward the electrification of its drive portfolio and is presenting its latest plug-in hybrid models at the International Motor Show 2019 in Geneva. At the same time, BMW announces the market launch of another Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) with an electrified drive. The globally popular BMW X3 will also be produced from December 2019 in a plug-in hybrid variant. It is thus the first model of the brand, which is offered both with a conventional combustion engine as well as with a plug-in hybrid system and additionally from 2020 on also with a purely electric drive.

Audi is presenting the hybrid variants of the models A8, A7 Sportback, A6 and Q5 with an electric range of more than 40 kilometers in the WLTP cycle at the Geneva Motor Show. Thanks to different output levels, the customer has the choice between a comfort variant and a performance variant with a sporty design, depending on the model series.
