Author George R.R. Martin has suggested it is "silly" to compare the 'Game of Thrones' show's ending to his own plans for the novels.
'Game Of Thrones' fans will have to wait a whole year to learn the fate of their favourite characters, as HBO has confirmed the final season will not air until 2019.
The legendary Iron Throne from the hit TV show Game of Thrones is actually made from plastic, but some huge fans of the show, who also happened to be blacksmiths, decided to make a replica of the iconic chair, but this time out of real swords. A team of 5 Russian artisans from the city of Blagoveshchensk spent 3 months crafting this copy of the Iron Throne in their smithies and unveiled their creation to the world on Wednesday, planting their nearly thousand pound work near the city's center, where locals and tourists alike posed on the chair and took photos.
One extremely wealthy superfan of the show took his adoration to a new level by ordering a Game of Thrones cake, featuring show character Tyrion Lannister, played by Peter Dinklage, sitting on the iconic Iron Throne. The gold-encrusted cake, done in perfect detail, cost the anonymous fan about $27,000. Dubai-based Broadway Bakery created the massive and intricate cake with a whole crew of bakery chefs. The final masterpiece weighed 70 pounds and was over 4 feet tall, consisting of sugar paste and sugar fondant, and laced with gold.
George R.R. Martin has told fans he is finishing writing 'The Winds of Winter' in isolation.
