Italdesign presented Davinci Concept at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show

Description

Italdesign presented the DaVinci in Geneva as a a 2+2 electric-drive GT coupe with a floor-mounted battery and twin electric motors, but the design house says it can also accommodate a 4.0-liter V8, both in all-wheel drive. As we suspected, there are also gullwing doors. The DaVinci bears a strong resemblance to the current-generation Ford Mustang, with its long hood, low profile, wide hips and swept-back roofline, though it appears quite a bit longer from the side view. There are lots of aerodynamic creases on the hood, front fenders and doors, and the rear features OLED taillights set underneath a crisp spoiler that wraps around the sides.

  • E-go presented the new Life S at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show

e.GO Mobile AG unveiled the e.GO Life Concept Sport at the Geneva International Motor Show 2019. The production version of the e.GO Life, a compact four-seater short-range electric vehicle, is on exhibit for the first time. Following successful homologation, the e.GO Life will go into series production in the new plant in Aachen in mid-March 2019. It will be delivered to the first customers at the beginning of May 2019 after the road release by major suppliers. The spaceframe made of aluminium profiles and the plastic outer skin make the e.GO Life above average robust and, at the same time, very reasonably priced. The large interior and high sitting position also demonstrate the practical advantages of a purpose design electric vehicle compared to classic conversion designs.

  • Volkswagen ID. SPACE Vizzion Concept presented in Los Angeles

The Volkswagen ID. SPACE VIZZION electric concept combines the aerodynamic design of a Gran Turismo with the spaciousness and versatility of an SUV. With an 82 kWH battery and an incredibly low drag coefficient of 0.24, the vehicle has a range of 590 kilometers on the WLTP cycle and a predicted range of up to 300 miles on the EPA cycle. The seventh member of the ID. concept family, the ID. SPACE VIZZION previews a potential production car for Europe and North America. The concept car is manufactured on Volkswagen's modular electric drive matrix (MEB), as are all ID. family models. This creates an entirely new package as the electric drive components are extremely compact and the battery is integrated into the vehicle floor to save space, making it possible to alter a vehicle's overall architecture. The concept car is fitted with a rear-mounted, 275-horsepower motor, but a second motor could be fitted to give all-wheel-drive capability and a total output of 355 hp. The ID. SPACE VIZZION is 195.2 inches long, 60.2 inches high, and 74.7 inches wide.Since electric vehicles don't need a radiator or space for an engine, this creates new design freedom. In the case of the ID. SPACE VIZZION, the designers and engineers have taken advantage of this freedom to optimize the aerodynamics-in this case, to reduce the coefficient of drag (Cd) to 0.24-and thus increase the efficiency and range. Air flows under a horizontal panel between the headlights and over the extremely low hood, before being directed to the rear, where there is another horizontal panel over the tailgate that allows air to flow under it.

  • DR presented the DR3 EV at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show

Not only bi-fuel. DR EVs are coming in the immediate future.DR3 EV, launched as a world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show 2019, is leading the way to a real electric range, that will be marketed between the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020. There will be three models, a city car and two SUVs, including DR3 EV.With a total capacity of 54.3 kw supplied by the 24 lithium-ion batteries, equal to about 400 km of autonomy (which reach 500 km with a constant driving at 60 km /h) and a maximum power of 90 kw, the DR3 EV represents the top of the technology currently available for electric mobility. The revolutionary ternary lithium ion technology (Nickel-Cobalt-Aluminum) used by DR, guarantees low temperatures, high energy density, high charge efficiency, good cycle duration. All with a weight of the battery pack of just 385 kg. Unthinkable performance with first-generation lithium-iron phosphate batteries.Slow charging times range from 6 to 8 hours. The fast half-hour charge guarantees 80% battery efficiency anyway. Also the electric range will be full optional as standard. The DR3 EV, in addition to the rich equipment of the bi-fuel version, in addition has the ability to choose between the driving modes Eco and Sport and the sound alarm for pedestrians when the car is moving.
