A 2019 full of satisfaction for the Abarth 124 rally that honored the 70th anniversary of the brand with many victories.Firstly, it won the FIA R-GT cup for the second consecutive year, with Italian Enrico Brazzoli, then it topped the podium again for the second year running, in the Two-Wheel Drive and GT Trophies of the Spanish Asphalt Rally Championship with Alberto Monarri. And it made Italian Andrea Nucita Champion of the Abarth Rally Cup in the ERC European Championship.
Seven appointments too good to be missed on seven European circuits brought together over 4,000 fans of the brand with the scorpion badge.Over 3,000 test drives, on the road and on the track, in the iconic, new Abarth 595 range, developed to embody the dual personality of performance and style, and the adrenaline-fuelled Abarth 124 spider, the racing version of which (the 124 rally) is the recent winner of the R-GT World Championship collecting 40 or so category victories.This edition was as exciting as ever with plenty of thrilling activities, including an authentic rally experience, laps on the track by the side of professional drivers, parades of classic Abarth cars, stunts and acrobatics, captivating DJ sets and animated gaming areas.The success of the Abarth Days parallels that of the brand. The 124 rally won the World Championship in the R-GT category and sales are up by about 15 percent on 2017, also as a result of the new Abarth 595 range recently introduced at the Targa Florio.

The numbers never lie and Abarth’s in the 2021 season are record-breaking ones. The Scorpion’s racing soul continues to reap successes both in rallies and on the track, thanks to the Abarth 124 rally, now the backbone of the RGT cars in the international rallying landscape. Its successes are also thanks to the 160-hp Abarth 1.4 T-Jet engine, the beating heart of the Formula 4 single-seaters that are developing the best talents of open-wheel motorsport.In the third season of the Abarth Rally Cup, part of the FIA European Rally Championship (ERC) calendar, the Scorpion car was put to the test by the big names in the Abarth series. Dariusz Poloński was crowned champion courtesy of 5 victories out of 6 rallies run, having demonstrated his dominance with victory in 72 special stages out of 84. Third overall in ERC2, the Polish driver also won 2 podiums in ERC2 at the Rally di Roma Capitale and Barum Czech Rally Zlín rounds. During the 2021 season, the Abarth 124 rally completed 24 special stages on gravel, covering 381.78 km, and 60 on tarmac with 780.29 km. In the six rounds of the European series, a total of 1162.07 km was covered in the special stages. The total becomes 4600.39 km if we include the transfers between the various stages, which visited Poland, Latvia, Italy, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Spain.
