New Zealand Offers Permanent Residency To Shooting Victims

Description

According to Reuters, New Zealand will grant permanent residency to survivors of the Christchurch shootings. Last month, a suspected white supremacist assaulted two mosques in New Zealand, killing 50 Muslim worshippers attending Friday prayers, while wounding dozens more. In response, New Zealand's immigration agency introduced a new visa category, called the Christchurch Response visa. The visa category allows for survivors of the attack and their immediate family members to apply.
