French development agency chief on the issue of climate justice

Description

The amount of money France devotes to the world's poorest nations is on the rise. The country spent €11.4 billion in 2018, a 40 percent jump in the last three years. Most of it is channelled through the French development agency AFD, headed up by our guest Rémy Rioux, who has just been reappointed as chief executive for a second term. Rioux shared his thoughts on some of AFD's success stories and addressed the broader challenge of fighting both climate change and poverty simultaneously.
