Dog owners came to the Magnolia dispensary in Oakland, one of several in California that provides cannabis medicine to animals, in order to help their pets overcome various ailments. Cannabinoid medicine is typically very low in THC, the mind-altering component in marijuana, so these owners are not actually getting their pets high. Medicine extracted from cannabis has been used to treat conditions such as glaucoma and epilepsy, even in children.
