In the Abarth Rally Cup Alberto Monarri (SPA) and Alberto Chamorro (SPA) preceded Carlos Garcia Perez (SPA) and Jordi Diaz Negrin (SPA) both on an Abarth 124 Rally from the SMC Junior Motorsport team.Third place for the Polish Dariusz Polonski and Lukasz Sitek, fourth place for the Italians Andrea Nucita and Michele Ferrara.Monarri has lead the race from the beginning to the end, ending at the 16° place.The spanish pilots dominated the second race of the European ERC2 Championship and the first race of the Abarth Rally Cup, the Abarth 124 Rally championship, that takes place within 6 dates of 8 events of the European Championship.

Behind them stand the Italian Andrea Mabellini and Nicolò Gonella, with the spider of the Bernini Rally team and the Napoca Rally Team’s colours.Even though he was mathematically champion before the start, Andrea Mabellini closed his season with a great performance in the Canary Islands, achieving the second place in a race valid for the single-seated Scorpio’s championship and, thanks to his second place in the ERC2 class - which is a category for the four-wheel drive cars with a turbo engine and the “Gran Turismo” RGT - he closed the season achieving the second place in the ERC2 classification of the European championship.

A 2019 full of satisfaction for the Abarth 124 rally that honored the 70th anniversary of the brand with many victories.Firstly, it won the FIA R-GT cup for the second consecutive year, with Italian Enrico Brazzoli, then it topped the podium again for the second year running, in the Two-Wheel Drive and GT Trophies of the Spanish Asphalt Rally Championship with Alberto Monarri. And it made Italian Andrea Nucita Champion of the Abarth Rally Cup in the ERC European Championship.

Second round of Abarth Rally Cup - In Liepaja Rally success for the italian Andrea Nucita

Andrea Nucita, with the Romanian Alina Pop, driving Abarth 124 rally, preceded the Polish Dariusz Polonski and Lukasz Sitek, and the Latvian Reinis Nitišs and Māris Kulšs, at the end of a thrilling race. The Abarth 124 Rally gave a great spectacle on this fast and hard track course proving to be fast and reliable. Nucita now leads the Abarth Rally Cup's rank before Polonski.
